1. What data we collect
- Account details: email address and a password hash (never the plain-text password) when you create an account.
- Scanned cards: photos you take of your physical cards are sent to our server for analysis, but the photo itself is never stored in your collection or on the server after analysis — only the card's official image from the card database (if the card is found there) is saved, together with its name, set, number, rarity, condition, and price.
- Collection data: which cards you've saved, your own folders, and notes.
- Technical data: basic server error logs (e.g. IP address for rate-limiting) to protect the service from abuse.
2. How images you scan are used
The photo of the card you scan is sent to Anthropic's Claude models for identification and authenticity assessment. The image is sent only to answer your request and is not used to train models. Anthropic processes it under its own API usage terms. We don't keep your original photo once the response has been sent back to the app.
3. Third-party services we use
- Anthropic (Claude): analyses scanned card images.
- Pokémon TCG API & TCGdex: looked up to confirm a card's identity, authenticity, and market price — we only send the card's name/number/set, never personal data.
- Email delivery: verification codes are sent via an email provider when you register an account.
We don't use any advertising or tracking tools in the app.
4. Where data is stored
Account and collection data is stored on our own server. During the beta period the server may be reset alongside updates — we'll flag it in the app if such an occasion risks affecting saved data.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support below. We'll respond and delete the data within a reasonable time.
6. Changes to this policy
Since the app is still under active development, this policy may be updated. Material changes will be announced on this page.
